Bette trained in the field of art at Western and Central Technical Schools in Toronto and studied privately with Bert Weir, Parry Sound and William Winter in Toronto.

She worked in the field of commercial art at Canada Life Insurance, Mary Mac Designers and Eaton’s Art Department in the 1940s in Toronto.

Bette has had one-man shows in Parry Sound, Toronto, the Station Gallery in Parry Sound, and has been in the Thanksgiving Studio Tour for ten years in Parry Sound.  Her paintings are in private collections in Canada, the USA, England and Germany.
